What is this?
Join us for a discussion about 'The Vote' by PBS's American Experience! This thought-provoking series gives an excellent historical view of the fight for women's suffrage and those who risked their lives and dignity for equality at the polls.
The two-part series 'The Vote' will be shown on Rocky Mountain PBS on Monday, July 6 at 8pm and Tuesday, July 7 at 8pm.
Part 1 will explore the challenges facing the women's suffrage movement, including internal debates over radical tactics and the place of African American women in the movement, shaped the battle in the crucial period from 1906 - 1915.
Part 2 will explore the final four years, 1916 - 1920, of the campaign for the passage of the 19th Amendment and will introduce some of the unsung women whose tireless work would finally ban the discrimination at American polls on the basis of sex.
