This is an ALPR/Flock community advocacy training event geared toward empowering League and community members to speak with others in their networks and communities—including elected officials–about this increasingly important issue and the threats it poses to constitutional privacy guarantees.

The training will include the following topics:

What is the real threat posed by ALPR/Flock systems?
What do the Constitution and the Supreme Court say about digital mass surveillance?
What are the types of actions that cities and counties can take to restore privacy to residents and reduce mass surveillance?
How can League and community members empower officials to take these actions?
How do you know what types of strategies to pursue in your city or county?
What to expect when you become a privacy advocate.
