We will welcome Jen Castaneda, founder of the Loveland Justice League (a non-partisan group), to share with us this organization’s efforts and actions: Loveland Justice League is a grassroots committee and coalition made up of community volunteers who are making strides to protect and serve as a voice for our community and for those who cannot advocate for themselves. This is a recent organization that began in response to the police action against Karen Garner, the elderly woman who was violently arrested by Loveland police in 2020. Loveland Justice League is particularly concerned with pending legislation that could have negative impact on people with disabilities. The conversation may be a little wide ranging, discussing gun violence, health care issues, legislative action, and the rights of the disabled – all connected issues.
