'VOTE' Necklace and Earrings - Pearl and Sterling Silver

Created to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the women who fought the battle to secure women's right to vote, this jewelry was designed exclusively for the LWV by Colorado jeweler Jeanette McPherson (Little Wing Jewelry). Note from artist: Pearls have been known for their healing properties for centuries. As energetic magnets, pearls bring a feeling of positivity and help us connect. Pearls bring truth to a situation and loyalty to a cause, opening pathways to access our powerful feminine energy.

These signs can be put out year after year as they have no references to a particular year or election. We have a few in stock and will order more as there is interest. Larimer County rules limit political signs to 45 days before an election and a week after.

For those who live in a HOA, per Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act, Section 38-33.3-106.5, CRS, an association shall not prohibit the display of a political sign by the owner or occupant of a unit on the property within the boundaries of the unit or in a window of the unit; however, the association may prohibit the display of political signs earlier than forty-five(45) days before the day of an election and later than seven (7) days after an election day.

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the LWV

These items feature an original drawing of Inez Milholland Boissevain (1886 - 1916), a suffragist leader and lawyer who championed social issues in the early 1900's. Wearing a long white cape and riding her horse Grey Dawn, Inez led the procession of the first suffragist march in Washington, D.C. According to the New York Sun, "No suffrage parade was complete without Inez Milholland." We honor Inez's dedication to women's suffrage, which happened four years after her death at age 30. Her last public words were "Mr. President, how long must women wait for liberty?"

This set of notecards feature yellow roses, a well known and celebrated symbol of the suffragette movement in the 1920s. Reproduced from original paintings, a unique watercolor is pictured on each of the four cards. The watercolors were painted by local artist Mary Dietrich, who is also a member of the Larimer County League of Women Voters.
