Also on the calendar are important dates for citizens to be aware of, like when ballots will be transmitted military members and overseas voters, the deadline for changing your party affiliation if you want to vote in the primary or the deadline for registering to vote if you want to receive a mail ballot.

The UNITE & RISE 8.5 Campaign is the LWV's response to a constitutional crisis. The campaign aims to mobilize 8.5 million voters through advocacy, civic education, and engagement. Why 8.5 million? Because that number represents 3.5% of the American voting public -- the critical mass a Harvard study determined can successfully combat an authoritarian takeover attempt and bring about meaningful change.

The LWV is tackling this mobilization effort in a series of 3-month stages with varying focus:

- Playbook 1: Shifting the Power Narratives - Reframe how we talk about democracy, moving away from fear toward possibility.

- Playbook 2: Holding Power Accountable - Tools to confront injustice and demand transparency.

- Playbook 3: Building Power through Partnerships - Work through Partnerships and collective action, ensuring our movement not only resists threats, but grows stronger in the process.
